Breast enhancement encompasses the wide array of surgical services available at Clayton Plastic Surgery. These services include breast augmentation, one of our most popular operations. As most of you know, breast augmentation employs saline or silicone implants to increase the size and improve the shape of the breast. Additionally, Dr. Clayton performs breast lifts to improve a woman’s silhouette and bustline. A breast lift will undo the cumulative effects of age and gravity upon the body, enabling a perkier presentation. Dr. Clayton can also combine the benefits of his enhancement procedures, as he does in the breast augmentation with lift. Also known as augmentation-mastopexy, the procedure provides multiple dimensions of improvement in size, shape and orientation.
For the guys, Dr. Clayton offers gynecomastia treatment. Gynocomastia describes the condition of enlarged and awkward male breasts. Gynecomastia can be caused by a variety of reasons but it usually results in a lot of embarrassment for the unfortunate fellow in question. Dr. Clayton can help.

Your Private Consultation with Dr. Clayton
Dr. David Clayton is the best plastic surgeon in Salt Lake City and its surrounding communities.
His father, the legendary Dr. John L. Clayton, was one of the first plastic surgeons in the rugged western territory. You might think that Dr. Dave had some awfully big shoes to fill, and you’d be right. But Dr. Clayton’s own professional journey involved facing these expectations, and eventually, exceeding them. But that’s another story. Today, Dr. Clayton is an enlightened counselor, mentor and teacher to others on their own campaigns for aesthetic improvement.
Breast Augmentation is a surgical procedure designed to enhance the size, contour, and symmetry of the breasts. Shaping a beautiful bustline isn’t all about size. Dr. Clayton is experienced in the many iterations of the classic boob job that have manifested in his long and distinguished career. Each passing season has only added to his knowledge and expertise. Dr. Dave believes that breast shape and responsiveness play an equally important (if mostly unsung) role in the perfect boob job.
The procedure involves creating a space in front of the pectoralis muscles or behind them. Carefully and deliberately, Dr. Clayton inserts the breast implants into this space, thus enlarging the size of the breast and improving its contour. This procedure is frequently performed to restore volume to the breasts following weight loss and/or pregnancy.
Breast Lift (Mastopexy)
Breast Lift addresses many qualities that a breast augmentation may not—sagging and deflated breasts will not benefit from the increased weight of the implants. Mastopexy is a contouring procedure that shapes the topography of the chest so that it can appear lighter, perkier and more youthful. Dr. Clayton removes lax, excess and overstretched skin. He pulls the remaining tissue up and back so that the breasts present more appealingly.
The procedure is often sought out by aging mothers who wish to recapture the sizzling, forked-tongued lightning strike of buoyancy and vivacity that energized them in their younger years. Because pregnancy, nursing and the force of gravity take their toll on the appearance of a woman’s breasts. Mastopexy can also reduce the size of the areola, which is the darker skin surrounding the nipple.
Breast Augmentation with Lift (Augmentation-Mastopexy)
If your breasts are small or have lost volume—for example, after pregnancy—breast implants inserted in conjunction with mastopexy can increase both their firmness and their size. A Breast Augmentation with a Lift combines two transformative procedures to provide women with larger, more symmetrical and perkier breasts. A breast augmentation alone will not raise the positioning of the breasts, while a breast lift alone will not add volume. These two procedures are frequently combined in order to help women meet their aesthetic goals.
Many men bear the unfortunate burden of overdeveloped breast tissue. For these men, Dr. Clayton compassionately provides Gynocomstia Treatment at his Utah-based practice. There are several reasons why a man may find himself with a pair of feminine breasts. For some, it can be a simple quirk of body fat distribution. When some men gain weight, large breasts may develop. Even when they lose weight, stubborn pockets of fat may continue to cling to the chest. Solving this issue is just a matter of some artfully executed Liposuction to reduce the troublesome bulges. In other cases, the solution may be slightly more complex. If the gynecomastia is caused by a hormonal imbalance or glandular abnormality, Dr. Clayton may have to surgically excise the errant tissue in order to restore his patient’s masculine form.
How Much Does Breast Enhancement Cost in Salt Lake City?
As there are a variety of procedures designed to address a multitude of circumstances, Dr. Clayton will require a private consultation with the patient so that he can adequately assess his or her needs. Once the doctor has become acquainted with your case, he will be able to quote you an accurate cost.
Silicone breast implants are the most natural-feeling breast implant. In recent years, saline implants have also become popular. Saline implants certainly have their unique advantages. If one of them should happen to rupture, for instance, the inert saltwater within the saline implant is harmlessly absorbed by the body. Even so, most patients prefer the realistic responsiveness of silicone implants.
Do not take a shower for the first 24 hours after breast augmentation surgery. This will help to prevent infection during those first, most delicate days of your recovery. It is important to follow all of your doctor’s aftercare instructions with fidelity in order to avoid complications and to preserve the integrity of your results.
You may experience some changes in nipple sensation immediately after surgery. This is to be expected while the tender muscles and tissues in your surgical site recover from the ordeal of your operation. The good news, however, is that the issue will typically resolve in time. Please be sure to keep your doctor informed of any unfamiliar feelings that may occur during your recovery. Even if they are ultimately are not any cause for concern, open communication will ensure that you are able to deal with any issues as soon as they develop.
